Registered Nurse First Assistant ( RNFA)

**Description:**

**Providence is calling a per diem, day shift Registered Nurse First Assistant to Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA**

**In this position you will:**

+ Be responsible for assisting the primary surgeon pre, intra, and post operatively with organized instruction and supervised practice

+ Act in absence of qualified physician.

**Qualifications:**

**Required qualifications for this position include:**

+ Unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) license

+ Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire

+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), or must obtain a Bachelor's degree or higher within 3 years of hire, or must have 20 years of RN experience

+ 12 months acute care experience working with the patient population similar to department of hire or completion of the specialty residency located at the facility

+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association ( AHA ), American Red Cross ( ARC ), or Military Training Network ( MTN )

+ Current National Certification (CNOR)

**Preferred qualifications for this position include:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

+ National Certification (CRNFA)
